Standards Overview

In 2015 an overview of the new National Hypnotherapy Standards was developed by the profession.  This process was instigated and managed by the New Zealand Hypnotherapy Registration Board Inc.  Input was requested and was forthcoming from many of the hypnotherapy organisations and hypnotherapists throughout the country.

In January 2016, the standards overview was presented to, and ratified by, the NZ Hypnotherapy Federation as the umbrella organisation for the profession in this country.

From the overview, Draft National Standards have been developed and accepted at the 2016 National Conference.  These are now being sent out for comment, before being finalised and presented to the NZHF. Hopefully, this will be completed this year. These are required for the accreditation process to be set up. Once this is completed, hypnotherapy training schools will be able to apply for accreditation, and associations will be able for recognition that their requirements for membership meet the National Standards.
